COPO Camaro driver Arthur Kohn had a big year in 2018. The personable Texas competitor won the NHRA Factory Stock Showdown event at Charlotte’s zMAX Dragway in the spring, then became the first COPO driver to break into the seven-second range when he did so at Gateway Motorsports Park outside St. Louis in the fall.

Wallpaper Wednesday: Arthur Kohn's Record-Setting COPO Camaro

COPO Camaro driver Arthur Kohn had a big year in 2018. The personable Texas competitor won the NHRA Factory Stock Showdown event at Charlotte’s zMAX Dragway in the spring, then became the first COPO driver to break into the seven-second range when he did so at Gateway Motorsports Park outside St. Louis in the fall.

This year he has his sights set on even more success and is planning a special tribute as the COPO program celebrates its 50th anniversary. Kohn owns the No. 65 COPO from 1969, and as an appropriate nod, his 2019 COPO race car will feature that historic machine’s Fathom Green paint scheme in time for the Chevrolet Performance Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals. It will be powered by the COPO 427 50th Anniversary engine which utilizes an iron LSX block and aluminum heads.

We’ll have much more about Kohn and his unique project very soon. For now though, we’ve decided to make the 2018 COPO he drove to victory in Charlotte this week’s Wallpaper Wednesday. You can download a desktop version of the killer shot below, or visit our Instagram story @theblockdotcom for a desktop version. The car will hit the track at historic Gainesville Raceway in Florida for the Gatornationals next month.
