Upon entering on the track’s backstretch, we were immediately greeted by a gorgeous, custom 1958 Chevrolet Apache powered by an LS3. Then, not 20 yards away, we came across a wineberry-colored 1949 Chevy pickup with a Ram Jet 502 crate engine under the hood. It was clear we’d see some cool sights on this Carolina afternoon.
Throughout the day we spotted dozens of cool Chevrolet vehicles, ranging from all-original to complete restorations and plenty of customs. Among the Chevy cars and trucks on hand were each year of the fabled Tri-Five, plenty of each generation of the Corvette and Camaro, and other well-known vehicles including the Nova, Chevelle, C10 and Silverado. In fact, it seems like we saw more Chevrolet trucks than ever this year. Also in the truck realm was a display in one of the NASCAR garages called “Camino Corner,” which featured half a dozen killer examples of the Chevrolet El Camino.
Meanwhile, the Chevrolet brand itself was set up in the infield of the track to show off the latest new vehicle offerings from the Bowtie. On display were the Equinox Premier, Blazer, Colorado with Z71 off-road package, All-New Silverado, Traverse and Camaro RS convertible. Plenty of knowledgeable staff were on hand to answer questions, while interested enthusiasts had the ability to sign up for the latest news and product offers.
Below is a photo gallery of some of our favorite Chevrolet images from AutoFair. Also, be sure to keep following The BLOCK and @theblockdotcom on Instagram for more event coverage all year long.
