At every event on the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series calendar, John Force Racing and its drivers are some of the most popular attractions. The organization’s popularity is due just as much to the team’s and drivers’ accessibility as it is to their on-track success.

At every event on the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series calendar, John Force Racing and its drivers are some of the most popular attractions. The organization’s popularity is due just as much to the team’s and drivers’ accessibility as it is to their on-track success.

That held true this year at the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals on Labor Day Weekend. The Camaro SS Funny Cars piloted by John Force, Courtney Force and Robert Hight, and the Chevrolet Top Fuel dragster of Brittany Force, drew large crowds in the grandstands and pit area throughout the event at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis.

Four-time event winner, 16-time Funny Car champion and team patriarch John Force also sported a Chevy.com/Accessories paint scheme throughout the duration of the event known as “The Big Go” -- drag racing’s most prestigious weekend.

Hight and Courtney Force each turned in quarterfinal finishes at Indianapolis, which serves as the last race before the Countdown to the Championship playoffs.

Courtney Force is seeded No. 1 entering the Countdown on the strength of four wins in 2018, Hight has won twice and will start the defense of his 2017 title from the third position in the standings. John Force meanwhile has claimed one win and is slated to begin from the ninth spot in the Countdown. Brittany Force will look to defend her 2017 Top Fuel title as well. She’s won once this year and will start eighth.
