Anyone who has had the privilege of spending time around the 2019 Corvette ZR1 knows the car’s thunderous V-8 rumble. Now, the same supercharged 6.2L V-8 LT5 that powers that machine is available as a crate engine just in time for the SEMA Show.

Get Ready for the LT5 Crate Engine

Anyone who has had the privilege of spending time around the 2019 Corvette ZR1 knows the car’s thunderous V-8 rumble. Now, the same supercharged 6.2L V-8 LT5 that powers that machine is available as a crate engine just in time for the SEMA Show.

The engine is rated at 755 horsepower and 715 lb-ft of torque. It also features Chevy’s first dual-fuel system, featuring direct injection and supplementary port injection, along with a new, larger-displacement supercharger than the LT4’s to boost the engine’s air charge.
