For this week’s Wallpaper Wednesday, we’re spotlighting one of Chevrolet Performance’s workhorse fleet vehicles: the 1978 K10 Silverado. After making the Long Haul during this year’s HOT ROD Power Tour, the Silverado re-appeared for this year’s SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

The classic black-and-red Silverado concept was sporting a 6.0L L96 crate engine under the hood in Sin City. The V-8 engine, which is based on the same power plant offered in Silverado trucks, makes 360 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque. It is designed to bring the modern advantages of an LS engine to both classic and late model truck projects in a compact package.

The L96 in the Silverado is backed up by a Supermatic 4L70-E four-speed automatic transmission and also features a Chevrolet Performance engine control system and accessory drive system.

A mobile-sized image of the Silverado is available on our Instagram story, while a hi-res desktop version is available below.
